Is Your Business Built to Scale or Built to Struggle?

Most entrepreneurs juggle too many responsibilities, spending their days putting out fires and working in the business instead of on it. If everything depends on you to keep things running and you’re ready to reclaim your freedom, these questions will help you pinpoint the friction points that are holding you back and show you where to focus next.

1. Your “AI Readiness” (The Force Multiplier)

Artificial Intelligence is the most transformative business tool of our time, but only if you know how to use it.

  • Do you and your team know how to use AI tools like ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini to think, plan, and execute faster?
  • Do you use AI to document knowledge, automate tasks, and improve decision-making across your organization?
  • Do you train your team to integrate AI into daily workflows, not just for content creation, but for strategy, operations, planning, and communication?
  • Have you created clear, context-rich prompts and/or GPTs to automate tasks for your employees?
  • Have you used AI to build a digital hub, wiki, or knowledge base for your company?

1. Your “Why” (Story)

Your brand story gives your company identity and direction. Without it, there’s nothing to help your business stand out.

  • Do your employees and customers understand exactly what you stand for and why it matters?
  • Do you have a unique sales offer and customer experience that sets you apart from competitors?
  • Are you crystal clear on your mission, vision, values, and brand promise?
  • Have you documented your brand voice, key messages, and elevator pitch so everyone communicates consistently?
  • Do you use AI to analyze competitor messaging and refine your own based on market intelligence and customer insights?

2. Your “What” (Plan)

Your strategic plan turns ambition into action. Without it, you’re winging it instead of growing your business.

  • Have you translated your vision into a clear strategic plan with measurable goals and initiatives?
  • Do you track critical projects in 90-day sprints with clear assignments and accountability?
  • Do you know your most important leading and lagging KPIs and review them regularly?
  • Do you use AI to uncover bottlenecks, surface opportunities, and test strategic options before making big decisions?
  • Do you use AI tools to summarize insights, analyze market trends, or forecast outcomes?

3. Your “How” (System)

Your systems determine how reliably your business delivers on its sales offer and brand promise. Without good systems, growth turns into chaos.

  • Are your key processes and SOPs documented and easy for employees to access and follow?
  • Do you have an intranet, wiki, or digital hub that keeps your team aligned and accountable?
  • Are your onboarding, training, and communication systems strong enough to drive consistent results?
  • Do you use AI to improve, automate, and standardize workflows across departments?
  • Do you regularly update your systems using AI to capture best practices and lessons learned?

If you answered ‘no’ to more than three questions, you need a StoryPlan.
